The Smuggler Mine above Telluride Colorado. From the mining picture taken 1912. boom endedin 1932. This is the Smuggler (Union) Mine high on the slopes above Telluride (Pandora) Colorado in the year of 1912. This mine is actually above the Pandora Mill. In fact this mine finally connected to the Camp Bird Mine and even the Virginius, both on the other side of the mountain.
The Marshall Basin wends its way up the gulch to the left while the Savage Basin is higher to the right over the slope. I'd say Savage Basin would be the more descriptive name.
